Il progetto di riqualificazione dell'edificio denominato "Il Treno" sito in via Rubicone a Pescara aggiunge servizi e verde, migliora l'accessibilità e crea una forte identità sociale nel territorio. Caratterizzato dalle sue imponenti dimensioni, l'edificio ha una lunghezza complessiva di 234 metri e un'altezza di 12 metri. Ospita 52 appartamenti su due livelli, mentre il piano terra è caratterizzato da un portico. Una nuova facciata-galleria sarà caratterizzata da logge aperte, terrazzi e palchi pensati per ospitare servizi e attività comuni. La galleria definisce un ambiente creativo dinamico, esalta le connessioni orizzontali e verticali e conduce a un tetto che sarà costituito da una serie di stanze sociali. Il tetto è infatti concepito come una sequenza di spazi per la comunità che trasformano uno spazio inutilizzato in un'esperienza spaziale condivisa ospitando diversi programmi di attività.
Lo spazio è suddiviso in sale pubbliche con diverse funzioni: aree per lo svago e il relax, palestra e aree per il gioco all'aperto, sala lettura o luogo di lavoro, spazi per spettacoli ed eventi, diverse aree salotto e giardini alberati. La facciata-galleria è disegnata da lamelle bianche verticali che danno un ritmo dinamico all'orizzontalità dell'edificio. Terrazze colorate, box e piazze si innestano sulla nuova pelle con ritmi vivaci. ZEDAPLUS ha progettato “The Train” come una piazza sospesa per le persone di tutte le età: il tetto si apre al quartiere e alla città. Il flusso delle persone si intreccia con l'edificio, dal piano terra alla galleria fino agli eventi sociali sul tetto. Con i suoi 234 metri di lunghezza, il tetto e la galleria offrono un impressionante punto di riferimento sociale per la comunità in un quartiere storicamente svantaggiato.
The redevelopment project of the building called "The Train" located in via Rubicone in Pescara adds services and greenery, improves accessibility and creates a strong social identity for the area.
Characterized by its imposing dimensions, the building has an overall length of 234 meters and a height of 12 meters. It houses 52 apartments on two levels, while the ground floor is characterized by a portico.
A new facade - gallery is characterized by open loggias, terraces and boxes designed to host common services and activities. The gallery defines a dynamic creative environment, enhances horizontal and vertical connections and leads to a roof that will feature a series of social rooms.
The rooftop is in fact conceived as a sequence of spaces for the community that transform an unused space into a shared spatial experience by hosting different programs of activities. The space is divided into public rooms with different functions: a relaxation and socializing area, a gym and outdoor play areas, a reading room, a place for business meetings, gatherings and for performances and events, a variety of seating areas and leafy gardens.
The facade - gallery is designed by vertical white slats which give a dynamic rhythm to the horizontality of the building. Colorful terraces, boxes and squares are grafted onto the new skin with lively rhythms.
ZEDAPLUS designed “The Train” as a suspended square for people of all ages: the roof opens up to the neighborhood and the city. The flow of people's circulation is intertwined in the building, from the ground floor to the gallery to the social events on the roof.
At 234 meters in length the roof and the gallery offers an impressive social landmark for the community in a historically deprived neighbourhood.
